Red Velvet Cookies | Soft, Melt in your Mouth Red Velvet Cookies
Red velvet cookies are super sweet, moist and gorgeously red with a slightly fudgy centre.
These are the sort of treats you can whip up easily and share with your friends and family.
They’re sure to satisfy those red velvet cravings!
Milk chocolate, dark chocolate or cream cheese frosting can also be used to top the cookies.
Serve these cookies with a glass of cold milk.
Red Velvet Cookie Ingredients
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- White sugar
- Egg
- Vinegar
- Vanilla extract
- Red gel food colour
- All-purpose flour
- Corn starch
- Salt
- Baking soda
- Cocoa powder
- chopped White chocolate
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside. Take butter, white sugar, brown sugar and egg in a wide bowl.
Beat the butter and sugars together with an electric hand mixer until pale and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Add in the vinegar and vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
Add in the red food colour and mix on medium speed to combine.
Sieve over the flour, cocoa powder, corn starch, salt and baking soda.
Mix everything together.
Use a cookie scoop and place even scoops of dough onto the prepared pan. Use your palm to flatten the balls slightly.
Bake for 13 - 15 minutes.
Remove the cookies from the oven. Allow them to cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes before transferring.
Melt some chopped white chocolate in the microwave.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top.
Store cookies in an airtight container.
