Eggless apple cake | Cinnamon apple cake | Apple cake in oven


        A very soft moist cake with fresh apple flavor and this cake has no apple chunks in it. This is a perfect recipe for people who want an apple cake without apple chunks and fortunately it's an eggless recipe, so I didn't add vanilla extract in it. If you add eggs, you need to add in any strong flavoring agent to avoid the eggy smell and taste. So, for fresh apple taste, this recipe needs to be eggless. I always wanted to try out an apple cake like this, since apple is my favorite fruit. Everyone in my family loved it!

Delicious apple cake made in oven with freshly pureed apples.

Ingredients
    For Apple puree
  • 1 & 1/2 apple (medium sized)
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • For cake
  • 1 & 1/2 cup All purpose flour / Maida
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted Butter + 1 or 2 tsp to grease the tin (Don't add salt if you want to use salted butter)
  • 3/4 to 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup apple puree
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder / ground cinnamon

Instructions
  1. Peel and chop the apple into pieces.
  2. Take chopped apple in a blender jar and add in the milk.
  3. Blend well and keep it aside.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  5. In a bowl sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and keep it aside.
  6. In another wide bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  7. Add in the apple puree and cinnamon powder. Mix well.
  8. Then add in the dry ingredients gradually and mix well until just combined.
  9. Grease the baking tin with butter and line it with baking sheet / parchment paper.
  10. Pour in the batter and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes.
  11. Let it cool down completely and serve it.

Recipe notes
Don't add the entire apple puree which is prepared in the beginning. Measure and add 3/4 cup and leave the remaining.
Bake the cake for around 35 minutes and check for doneness with a toothpick.
If it doesn't come out clean, bake it for another 5 minutes.


















Cinnamon apple cake - Step by step pictures

Take chopped apple and milk in a blender jar.


Blend well and keep it aside.


In a large bowl sieve together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.


Mix well with a whisk and keep it aside.


In another bowl, add in the butter and sugar.


Cream butter and sugar till it becomes light and fluffy.


Add in the blended apple puree (only 3/4 cup). Mix well.


Mix in the cinnamon powder and gradually add the dry ingredients.


Mix well till it's combined.


In a greased baking tin pour in the batter.


Bake the cake in a preheated oven of 180° C for 35 to 40 minutes.


Super soft apple cake is ready! I garnished the cake with some powdered sugar.
