Ingredients for Red velvet cake jars 

 For Cake 

  •  Eggs 
  •  Powdered Sugar 
  •  Vanilla extract 
  •  Melted Butter 
  •  Red Gel Colour 
  •  All-purpose flour 
  •  Cocoa powder 
  •  Baking powder 
  •  Baking soda 
  •  Salt 
  •  Milk 

 For Frosting 

  •  Heavy Whipping Cream 
  •  Sugar 
  •  Vanilla extract 
  •  Simple Syrup


 









How to make Red Velvet Cake Jars - Step by step pictures 


 Line the cake tins with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Beat the eggs with an electric hand mixer until foamy for about 2 - 3 minutes.
Then add the sugar gradually and continue beating for about 4 - 5 minutes.
Pour in the melted butter, gel food colour and vanilla extract.
Mix gently until combined.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Gradually add in the dry ingredients and milk.
Gently whisk the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared baking pans.
Bake the cake at 180°C for 20 - 25 minutes.
Carefully run a knife around the edges of the pan, and invert the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Take chilled whipping cream, vanilla extract and icing sugar in a bowl.
Whip the cream to stiff peaks.
Use the lid of the jar or a round cookie cutter to cut out cake rounds.
Using a heart cookie cutter, cut out some hearts to decorate if desired.
Wash and clean the Dessert Jars (300 ml). You can make 3 - 4 cake jars with this recipe.
Place the first layer of cake in a jar and soak with simple syrup.
Then pipe some frosting on top of the cake layer.
Place the second layer on top and soak with sugar syrup.
Pipe a generous layer of frosting on top, decorate and serve.
