Place softened butter and powdered sugar in a wide bowl. With a whisk beat the butter and sugar until creamy and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract. Sieve together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add in the milk little by little. Mix until it forms a smooth dough. Divide the dough into two portions. Roll one portion with a rolling pin, between two baking sheets. Remove the baking sheet on top. Trim off the uneven sides. Cut into the desired shape with a sharp knife. Make holes using a fork or a skewer. Arrange them one by one on a lined baking tray. On a preheated oven, bake at 180°C for 10 - 15 minutes. Let them cool down before transferring.
