Microwave potato chips | Microwave chips | How to make chips in microwave
Crispy microwave cooked thin potato slices can be a wonderful on-the-go midtime snack. Everybody loves potato chips. Eating homemade potato chips without deep-frying would certainly be a dream of most people. Microwave chips consume very less oil so you can happily eat them without guilt.
You can slice the potatoes with a sharp knife or with a vegetable slicer. Thinner the slices crispier the chips would be and I don't peel the potatoes for chips. Washing the potato slices in cold water to remove off the starch will make this microwave cooking process more easier.
Keep in mind that this microwave snack is not meant for a whole family. If you're alone at home and if you're craving for some crispy snack, go for it. Oil helps the potato slices from sticking to the bottom. With a soft brush spread some oil on both sides of the slices. Brushing oil makes the chips crispier like deep-fried ones. After around 4 - 5 minutes, the slices should be 80-90 % cooked.
