Center filled homemade white chocolates | Homemade chocolates using butter |



Filled white chocolates are usually made using store-bought compound chocolates. I always wanted to try that out using homemade chocolate and I finally did it. White chocolate is the most popular recipe on Abu's cookbook YouTube channel. But in that video I used vegetable shortening for making chocolate. And in this filled chocolate recipe I have used butter. It's not cocoa butter or any other fancy butter, it's just the normal butter available in market. I used unsalted one and it turned out very well. I guess you can also use unsalted butter.


You can generally add any filling that you like. You can just play with it since these are homemade chocolates. I added almonds, raisins, jam and chocolate syrup.

Ingredients
    For chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 3 tbsp. Powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Milk powder
  • 1 or 2 cups Water (for double boiler)
  • For filling
  • few Almonds
  • few Raisins
  • 3 to 4 tsp Jam
  • 3 to 4 tsp Chocolate syrup
Instructions

  1. To set double boiler, boil some water in a sauce pan and place a bowl on top of it.
  2. Add butter in the bowl and let it melt down.
  3. Now add in the powdered sugar and mix well without lumps.
  4. Dissolve the powdered sugar completely in butter and add in the milk powder.
  5. Mix well until everything is combined.
  6. Pour some chocolate in the chocolate mode and add in the filling of your choice.
  7. Cover it with some more chocolate on top.
  8. Now place the chocolate mould in freezer for around 10 - 15 minutes.
  9. Demould and enjoy!

Recipe notes
Make this entire recipe on a very low flame.
While cooking, if you feel like the mixture is bit sticky, you have to switch off the flame immediately. That means the heat which is provided for cooking is too high.
Since chocolate is very sensitive, always make sure that your bowl is not too hot. Otherwise your chocolate won't turn out well.

Take some water in a sauce pan for double boiler and heat it on a low flame.


Place a heat proof bowl on top of it.


Add I/4 cup of butter in the bowl.


Let the butter melt completely.




Now add in the powdered sugar.


Mix well and dissolve the sugar completely.


Once the sugar is completely dissolved, switch off the flame and add in the milk powder.


Mix gently till everything is well combined.




Chocolate is ready now.


Add some chocolate in mould with a spoon.




It's time to add in the fillings.


Cover it with some more chocolate.


Chill it in freezer for 10 - 15 minutes.


Demould the chocolates and enjoy!
